I have a shd8900 and flashed it with the latest vix4e2project image. I've installed oscam ymod and ftp my oscam.server file to etc/tuxbox/config and started the cam in the softcam manager, but no joy with clearing the channels, anyone know if I've made a mistake or need to do something else, cheers

files maybe in var/keys, not at home and cant remember
change files using the web interface

Just set one up, think you will find the oscam server file you need to edit is in var/tuxbox/config.

/etc/tuxbox/config is the correct location for OScam ymod config files (if using ViX4E2PROJECT - it can vary on other groups images) but if you are using OScam ymod as in the version you can download from the addons server then it's best not to overwrite the pre-made configuration files, rather edit them via the OScam Webif, so download and install OScam ymod, activate it in the Softcam Manager and then in a webbrowser head to http://ip-address-of-receiver:8888 and either edit the pre-made reader examples or create your own, save the changes then restart OScam ymod.

That said there is no real reason you shouldn't be able to use your own files, it's just the pre-included files are tried and tested and known to work fine. If you download any other version of OScam than ymod from the addons server there will be no config files included, so in this case you will be required to provide your own anyway.

It could be something as simple as not giving OScam a restart after you have sent your files over, but using your own files or not either way using the OScam Webif should give you the best indication of what's going on.

also use cccam2oscam converter to convert ur line. mind and check you check correct box for clines or nlines. also include 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 at the end if nline before converting. then edit the oscam server file in var/tuxbox/config deleting all that is there at moment before pasting your coverted line.

hope this helps

Hi, done all that has been said and still no joy, I've used mgcamd and cccam in the past with no problem what so ever, aren't these softcams available on this image or can someone point me to how to install them.

Sorted, I've got oscam up and running by using the cccam2oscam converter and copy and pasting my info instead of saving to a file on my pc and ftp overwrite, cheers for your help
