hi lavaman thanks for the new image .
i installed this late last night and it looks great.

but i have a couple of questions to ask .

Q1 i can mount my nas drive ok in network/mount manager but then how do i access my media files.. If i click the folder button on the remote i cant navigate to my network mount.. any ideas ..

Q2 when i try to set up mini dlna the image just crashes after a few seconds.. cheers for any advice you can give..

Q1) Once mounts are setup press the folder key on the remote control which by default will take you to /media/hdd/movie/ where your default recordings will be saved to for the majority of setups, if you want to browse to anywhere else (USB devices, network mouts etc.) then press the Yellow Location key and you will be able to point to where you wish!

Q2) Seems to be another small bug I've missed to do with original OpenViX code I base the image builds from and removing the background update checks.

Please FTP into the receiver and delete the NetworkSetup.pyo file which is in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens and then FTP over the attached NetworkSetup.py file (extract from the .rar file first!). Once that's done give the receiver a full reboot (Menu > Standby/Restart > Restart) and once it's booted back up again please try MiniDLNA setup again - this time (fingers crossed!) it should check the feeds status for a few seconds then download the plugin and activate.

I have just tried this on the Amiko Alein Mini (Alien 2+ should be just the same) and it's working for me as in now running on the Alien (no green screens and reboots) and popped up the AllShare Device Connected on my Samsung Smart TV.

If you can try the above for me please and confirm it works for you I will then make sure it is built in to the next build, until then anyone can follow the above which should work fine if you need to use MiniDLNA.

hi lavaman
cheers for trying to help me out here.

i still cant access my nas folders even when using the yellow button .
is it to do with the structure of the files i have . for instance all my movies are in individual folders with the name of the movie then the actual film inside
Like... nas/video/HDmovies/name of movie/movie file.

I couldn't say for sure as I don't have a NAS drive to test with but I did have my laptop and another Enigma2 receiver on the same network (a GigaBlue Quad Plus in this case but shouldn't really make any difference) and I was able to mount and access these no problem and tried a playback of a recording from the GigaBlue which worked fine.

Normally I think (not my area of expertise though) rather than mount the NAS drive itself you would mount a folder inside the NAS which would then give you access to all other files and folders within there?

I have a new build due out very soon which has a whole host of bug fixes and enhancements on board, it was almost released about an hour ago and then I spotted another small bug right at the end of testing! Hopefully it will be available to go live soon though...

Hi lava man. I have an amiko 2+ but couldn't get my cline to work. What's the path via ftp for the cccam. Additionally I cannot get kodi direct to work either and when I try to install genesis etc it either green screens or just blank. For the time being I have had to revert to a dated version of vix and went to var/etc/keys and put the client.cfg in there and it's currently working but would prefer an updated experience

I'm afraid I can't help with softcam configurations and lines but can go so far as to say CCcam itself has never ran on SH4 receivers so you have wires crossed somewhere there, but no matter, OScam is the softcam of choice and I would suggest OScam ymod from the addons server for easy configuration (it will support all popular protocols including CCcam).

Regarding KodiDirect, it's a third party plugin, not part of the image itself so I could not help with that one other than suggest first trying again in the latest ViX4 build (Version 2.0 Build 003-blue available for download now) and if still no joy contacting the addon creator to see if they can give you any help... The new image release was only complied by me a few hours ago along with all the addons and plugins, so whatever version of KodiDirect is on the server should be the latest available.
