Amiko Alien 8900

Wow just got this box setup how i like it now and its fantastic, took me a while to find a decent image and to get crossepg setup and install rats bouquet updater, but the biggest challenge was getting the HD channels to clear , the problem was i was using mgcamd 1.35 as soon as i changed to mgcamd 1.33 all was good, Streaming to xbmc also works very good, Iam using Nebula v3 image but when Osborne82 image is ready im going to try that.

Looks like an interesting box never heard of it before.

How stable is Nebula v3 m8 ?
Does Crossepg and Cooltv work ok ?

crossepg works great mate personally dont like the cooltv i just do without it

Does the recording from encrypted channels work ?? There was a driver issue which meant you could only record FTA channels not sure if it's fixed yet.

I think that was on the Alien 2 ,and it has been resolved as far as I am aware.

Hi I have installed Nebula v3 image on my Amiko 8900 and mgcamd 1.35 all seems to be working except every couple of minutes the video and sound freeze for a second or so this is the same using spark. What is the most likely culprit , mis-aligned dish? this does this on free and $ channels.

Use mgcamd 1.33 I had problem with 1.35

Got another one of these boxs and its doing my bloody nut in as got for me old man and bought a wifi stick for it cant get it to work in nebula image only getting to work in images which are not as good ie hdmu image which remote somehow is realluy slow and unresponsive in it wish he could just run a bloody cable, think i might end up going the vonets route on this one

Pls, help out! I just installed PKTeam Hyperion Enigma2 image on my Amiko SH8900 but couldnt get my cccam/ mgcam/ emu mgr working (server not active) i've tried 2 different working C-line already. I don't know what i'm doing wrong

Hi there, i am having a b***ch of a time setting up mgcamd on my Amiko Alien. Can someone give me any pointers as to how to use mgcamd on spark?

I have a working newcamd.list that i use on a DM500S, but i cannot make it work in Spark.

Any ideas?

BTW is this image fully configured? Do I just need to change the newcamd.list file with my own?

Do i start only the mgcam or do i start all the cams?

On another note, can i use iptv on my Amiko Alien? How does it work? I have a 12Mbps connection.

Will the HD channels stream without freezes?
