Nbox5800 tv guide

Evening all I have been having some difficulty for sometime with my TV guide/program information not updating as they should.

Basically a lot of the time I have the auto update set for the early but most of the time I come down and it's frozen on the radio screen downloading? So a pull if the power and the device reboots ok. So most of the time my channel info is blank on some channels when I select them it populates the current program information but that is all?

What's the best way to look into fixing this or is there a guide to reset or to advise on which files to wipe etc?

I have cross epg xmltv providers set to rytec UK and ukbbci
Open tv providers set to sat UK open tv astra 28.2 and 28.4
Xepgdb providers to sky UK

The script providers - none seem to work?

Cross epg version is 0.6.2 svn268 not sure if that's current or not?

do you know what image is installed

evening let me check i know it states U-Boot 1.3.1 0.53 and its openpli, its going to take me ages to remember how to find the correct info lol

i know this is one of marcin4770 boxes if that helps sorry

its one of Martins units and i think i the info need from an old post please see below:

by default will come in eng version and super stable OPEN PLI image

Preinstaled with :
latest openpli image (super stable image, special editon)
rats channel updater (alwayes channels list up to date)
rats picon updater (alwayes with picons up to date)
ITV plugin (catch up with ITV
BBC Iplayer
Cross EPG (7 day full epg)
EPG Import (7 day full epg)

it comes with everything you will ever need with enigma 2 twin tuner box.

contains env for hyperion and nebula images, built in, you will never need to play with changing bootloader,
as this is fully loaded)It has few diffrent MAC adress to select from menu (diffrent ip adresses)
not like other sellers, after converting using same mac, and when you connect 2 nbox with same mac adress one of them will not work !!
freebox and b4t, special editon installed
Main uboot preload in A20 and 2nd uboot(safe) preload in A19 and A18.
again, here I giving you choice to recovery your box after bad flashing bootloader,
the A19 jumper is fitted with switch for easy change from A20 to A19 for recovery process,
unlike others sellers sell without A19 connected, so you cant recover your box on your own

also crossEPG needs to be setup like the picture

you only need to select openTV.....you can de-select all the other you have added

That looks to match yours other than the version number I have a few more options by the looks

via the plugins....then uninstall....then install crossEPG again and it will install the latest version

i didnt like the image your using as its not very user friendly

When you say via plugins do you mean via the main menu the selecting plugins and then download plugins? When I select that it states no plugins found?

yes on mine i press red to remove then green the re install

ok so if i remove it when i click download it will be there? i dont want to remove it and then not be able to get it back on?

what happens when you press green

also i have just set the download going for the epg and when it comes back on there are still no entries of info against the channels?

when i click remove i have two drop down menus to select from 'systemplugins' and 'extensions' the crossepg is under the 'systemplugins'?

TELNET HAS BEEN DISABLED BEACUSE:
many of you are using on router DMZ, setting port forwards but most of you dosent set any password... if you do that, putting in google enigma2 interface will come up with many not protected receivers, you can accces someone box...
Even poor password with SSH is hard to crack vs compare to telnet...

to enable telnet, just edit system.sh with notepad+

Find line telnet: and change from disabled to enable and copy back on the box, reboot the box.


ps: you can use any ftp client like for example total commander and will work fine with SSH connection to yours nbox.


install total commander, start it, press ctrl+n and it will ask you for IP adress.

just enter ip, untick annonymous, enter as login root and leave password blank.


Configs are in etc/oscam


i think if you edit you should get the download plugins to work

Cheers will give that a go tomorrow as my missus has come in and taken over the TV lol

ive just checked the pkt server is up, just to check you sure your network is working?
