X Solo Mini 2

In the process of setting up this box, I know its a clone but not sure exactly what it is a clone of any help would be appreciated. I have seen a friends box with Openvix installed but having issues finding the correct version for the box and do not want to brick it.

100% a clone is there a sticker on the top directing you to a website for images ?

If so use those.

Thank you for the reply, the website directed to did not have an openvix image, however I have installed Openatv and added the panel for cam. System seems to be working really well still under test.

I've has a couple of these and like them for the price. The [FONT=Open Sans, sans-serif]X Solo Mini 2 is a clone E3HD and works OK with [/FONT]Axas E3HD, EVO E3HD, Optibox E3HD and Galaxy innovations Genius E3HD firmware (none as yet are time bombed), and probably others I've not come across yet.
Its well worth installing the E3HD_CFE_751 bootloader to give the box a bit of a speed boost

I did notice that sometime in march the remote stopped functioning with new Images from theOpenATV v4.2 site (although this may have been fixed by now)

All said and done, a nice little little box. but not to much English support.

Thank You Dave, I got the box running with a clone safe openvix image. I did also try an Openatv image but I ran into a small issue. When you type a number to change channel you need to be very quick. I will have a look at your link again thx.

How to flash image on E3HD:



CFG location depends on what softcam you run, ususlly either usr/keys for mgcamd or /var/etc/CCcam.cfg or /etc/CCcam.cfg

or install this plugin and install them from the Open ATV feed

Great explanation thabk you. Do you know what format the usb has to be? i have 64gb usb firmatted on mac to exfat doesnt seem to work?

For flashing, if poss use a smaller USB Stick 4 or 8 gb formatted to FAT 32,

For what it's worth I like the box, unlike all the VU+ clones on the market we can try any E3HD firmware without worry as there is no Security Chip. I have found on some images the remote fails to respond after flashing (I believe this is due to a change in the bootloader) but reflashing is not a problem.

If your looking for a Skin that looks and feels like a Sk*uk box search for fraggle121 skin (i'm not sure if it's in the feeds as I'm abroad at the moment) and give that a go

I found a file called: italysat-7.0.200-zgemmash2_20150821_usb
For Zgemma Star H2 but i don't know if it is compatible with x solo mini 2.

It has a folder called sh1 with 5 files: imageversion, kernel.bin, noforce, rootfs.bin and splash.bin

Don't use that, it may brick your box!!
The file you need will be named [h=1]Italysat 7 Axas E3HD 7.0.200[/h]
probably followed by the build date

The Zgemma s2 / h2 is made by Air Digital Technology, The makers of the Cloud Ibox range, and uses completely different hardware to our E3HD's

Hi dave can i ask you a question regarding this X Solo Mini 2, i have one, have had it for more than 18mnths, sea lion gift has run out, guy i got it from has gone awol. the box is working A ok, i have a usb stick with the flash image E3HD on it, i just need to know can i put a new gift (CCcam.cfg) on it myself and how, the usb stick was given to me by the guy i bought it from, the box crashed once, so he told me to put the usb stick in the box, with instructions (not to hand at the moment) how to reset box and the gift, which i did ok. Can you help me out please. Would be most grateful for any help or guidence.
It is on Openatv am using UK Sly on it.

Hi wally6529, Get yourself a copy of Dreambox Controll Center from the site below and follow the guide to set it up and get connected to your reciever (our password is either blank or E3HD, depending on your image, not dreambox!)
select the FTP tab and browse for your .cfg file (ususlly either usr/keys for mgcamd or /var/etc/CCcam.cfg or /etc/CCcam.cfg)
then either edit it or replace it with your new config file.

(you only have to replace / edit your cfg file to get it working again, there is no need to reflash your box)

Filezilla works just as well if you prefer
