Addon Updates

Morning all,


Just wondering, when you see an addon being updated in the top left corner, what exactly gets updates? Just the list of film etc, or does it update the addon version?

Or is it a case of having to update the repo first, then installing the addon again?

As far as I know its the addon that gets updated,the film/TV lists get updated on whatever site XBMC is scrapping them from and then you access them from your addon,if there are any new releases they will show up then

So to update the version revision, you'd need to do it via the repo first?

No that should happen with the bog standard updates,the only real reason to do it in the repo is if its playing up or not updating when you know there is a live update out there
