3D Printing Epson Stylus Photo R265 Printer Resetting

The above printer has stopped working, I didn’t realise that epson printers have built in software that counts the prints it makes, and when it reaches a set limit it stops working. At first it said something like "your printer requires maintenance" then it stopped working.
I’ll make sure when I buy another printer it is NOT an Epson. I’ve had it for years but the six ink cartridges are as cheap as you will find, I found software that apparently resets it but after trying every bit of advice on this website

I’ve had no luck.
Has anyone a fix for it before I bin it? I have windows 7 pro if that makes any difference.

its probably the waste ink pad counter that's causing the problem

you could try one of the repair discs on the bay

one example is this there may be cheaper ones on there
