2.2.0 got added to OpenPli panel wouldnt install though, 0 byte download. Not even sure if it's any benefit of upgrading for for Uk Sly. Theres a thread on the Pli offiicial forums about it not installing correctly via the panel.

i added 2.2.0 no problem mate, my 500s running on it as we speak, they must have sorted it! im just going to try the commando image thats why i thought id try this with it too!

Upgraded my dm500 server and 2 clients on my LAN to 2.2.1 yesterday from 2.1.4. All running OpenPLI works fine so far no issues. It's only been running 22 hours though so far.

Had a quick scan through the blank 2.2.1 config file got some intresting features, they are of no use to me though.

Loadsharing between identical cards, and global emm, you can take updates from clients which are multiple hops away.

Can also enforce minimum client version, for example dont allow allow any clients using ccam 2.1.3 or below...etc.

Seems to suggest reduced network load on 2.2.1 compared to 2.1.4.

Client upgrade was easy...not even a glitch when it upgraded, you dont have to touch the .cfg file the one from 2.1.4 works fine...

what does this mean?

means traffic overhead in/out on 2.2.1 is less than older versions. Basically it's more efficient if thats the case doesnt need to send / recieve as much data/traffic across the network.

I dont know if thats true im just going by a the comment line I seen int the blank config that comes with 2.2.1, i'll look it up later to confirm.

I wouldnt think it makes much difference. anyway...CCCAM is pretty lightwiegh in terms of send/recieve anyway if your not resharing.

Im installing it now.

do i need to reupload my cline afterwards?

answer is yes!!

and dont forget to select the new cam from your options....

Do i need to delete the old cam to save memory space on the dream box?

My channels that were not working (see my other thread) are now doing so it might the new cam it might the snow has stopped

I didnt have to reupload my .cfg file after upgrading via the blue panel in OpenPli image...
It just overwrites the old version of the CAM and leaves the configs intact. OpenPli has a seperate option for the CAM and a seperate one for the .cfg file, if you select just the cam it wont overwrite your config file, which is good.

Touch wood unless im imagining it every channel is working despite this heavy snow

snow shouldnt really do anything.
unless its snowing black snow and it freezes over your LNB.
then your fuhucked.
