Dont know if you can do this but but thought I would ask anyway as you are a clever and helpful lot.

I have chipped my xbox and all is working fine, and have softmodded my sister in laws xbox and all is working fine. I want to know if it is possible for me to put a bigger hard drive in her xbox without modding it. Similar to the splinter cell soft mod.

What i tried to do was put a new hd into my modded box and run AIO 4.01 to put the soft mod on the hard drive.

Trouble is when I boot my xbox in normal mode it comesup with an error message. Is there a way of doing this (A simple way)

Thanks for any help offered

Whats the error code, also you have to make sure the hdd is locked with the correct lock key from the softmodded xbox.

You have to get the key off the softmodded box (evox's backup utility can do this).. then transfer the 'eeprom.bin' (key) to your pc via ftp.

Then you can use an app called 'xboxhdm' to setup a new drive with the softmodded files and 'lock' it with the correct eeprom.bin. Then it will work on the softmodded box..

note.. the hard drive has to be lockable, there a list on xboxscene. The xboxhdm package has full instructions I beleive, otherwise there are many tuts on xboxscene.

basically though, get the eeprom.bin then connect the drive you have already set up to your pc, and use xboxdhm to lock it.
