i have a old jtag with fsd on playing from here is ok as i've set the fans speed to keep the jtag cooler as i'm playing but with the games on internal hdd after a while the box shuts itself down and get two red lights i've repasted the box and as x clamp fitted what i wanted to know is which is the best and most practical to cool down off the internal hard drive i've seen the wire trick of the fans and connecting it to the dvd drive and soldering to the 12v on motherboard but not sure which path to go down
thanks for looking

Hi uni, I have a jasper that I modded with a fan on the case wired straight to 12v. I can't remember how much of a temp difference it made but it was noticeable . I cut a hole and placed the fan above the little bit of heat sink that sticks out at the side of the DVD drive. You can adjust the stock fan speed in fsd if I remember correctly .

Good luck

yes I'm fine in fsd as just have the fan speed set higher its of the internal hdd my problem is I will add a 12v fan inside and hopefully that will sort it..... is there no way you can boot the game in fsd when the game is stored on internal hdd

just use Dashlaunch: download and copy that into your internal h/d are usb stick use XeX Menue to run Dashlaunch...

then in the setting you can choose to boot your xbox360 to FSD soon as you turn it on ....

Yes I've done that but the new bigger games you have to put on internal hdd and run from there like the new Wolfe game four disks then I don't get the option to turn the fans up

mmmmmm looks like you will have to put fans inside the console , are just leave the case off ?

You put the new games onto an internal HDD but you can still run them from FSD you just need to set the path for were the new games are stored.

all sorted now whipped the drive out fitted new fan temp down now set my paths better cheers for all input
