Hi folks just got a demon to install in an RGH1 with coolrunner 16mb jasper. Ive been searching all over the place to find a decent tutorial on how to start and set up the whole thing with hard drives and programming and what not. Im a bit confused as to what to do to be honest as a lot of the tutorials and information are inconclusive and quite confusing. I know there are a number of ways of installing the things and the soldering part doesnt bother me too much as there are loads of picture tuts on team xecutor which cover this in fact the soldering and install of the hardware seem to be the easier thing. In essence i just want to know should i program the demon 1st and what with? How do I setup the console with a hard drive for live and a USB for the RGH. Any pointers would be most appreciated thanks

have a look there m8

use the j - Runner program and download the Demon Drivers as well

Before you continue with this, what is your intention for having a dual NAND RGH console? Reason I'm asking is because if you plan to use a dual NAND on RGH1 you will not be able to go online. You Could still have any kind of NAND image either stock or hacked image but you will won't be able to use live unless you update the dash to one that has split CB which means you will then need to change to RGH2.

Of course with RGH2 things will change from wiring install to time console will boot hacked image each time.

thanks for the info I did not know this seems Im a bit out of the loop on xbox things , so im assuming then that I would need to update to RGH2 with the current coolrunner installed then install the demon after I have programmed it. This is the problem there is no concise tutorials on anything like this

Yes, if you want to use the demon for both RGH and Live then you will need to use RGH2. You can still install the DemoN as right now but you will have to write the stock NAND to the console, update the dash to one that changes CB to split (basically any dash past 14699 but just easier to use latest dash). Dump NAND again after update, rewire the coolrunner for RGH2 and that's it. As you already got CPU key you won't need xell, so just make a hacked image for RGH2 and try to get the console booting.

Just be aware that RGH2 on Jaspers can take anything from lucky 5 seconds to 30-50 seconds to boot on average (all depending on your tweaking and wiring install).
