just installed this today ....kept getting a 403 error so i guess it needs a donation sheme or something to keep this going if its using the blokes funds up. ?.. only one game came back ok...that was call of duty 4

I have just ran my GOW2 ISO through this program and get the following.

Stealth check passed!

But it goes on to verify it against the online database which is down, and states that the DMI is unverified, it tries to make an auto fix but can't because the server is offline.

Should I worry about this, or is it ok?

Gow2 Alstars is retail so it should be good, Database should be up soon if you want to hold off.

I take it there is no way of checking those already burned to disk??? Personally don't have the storage space to keep all my ISOs

yep you can check from your DVD drive, but you obviously cant change whats on the disc you would have to re-rip and re-burn.

More in depth / accurate.

There is a dedicated upload team who verify data from multiple originals to ensure its got valid CRC's etc.

I tried again last night and it auto fixed GOW2 & CODAW, so looks like it's back up again, well worth checking those ISO before burning.

Every just needs to be patient

As above, the way it works is mutiple sources of trusted / veryified retails are used for the Database.

So, a game 6 weeks early will probably never check out

We are still in the dark, I reckon it's either playing pre-release or dodgy ISO's.

The main man C4eva has said its bad ISOs so i would tend to agree.


After shrugging trough 2 threads on X-S,

I see that pretty much all that are banned have played either SR2, Fallout 3, Quantum of solace review copys.



But alot of the ones who arnt banned have played pre-releases but no review copys.



There are people who have played both, but the prob just got lucky.





You would have to lean towards the review copys doing it as the all stick out with the SS, DMI, PFI all being different to retail copys.


MS know some shops will sell games before release date so it would be a brave move to ban pre-release retail rips.
