Openpli image back up problems

in openpli4
there are 5 files missing to backup to usb
so you need to ftp those files to your box reboot and the backup will work

/usr/sbin/mkfs.ubifs
/usr/sbin/ubinize
/usr/sbin/nanddump <------(might not be needed)
/usr/lib/liblzo2.so.2
and the last one might not be needed if no error then its not needed
/usr/lib/liblzo2.so.2.0.0

ftp the files one at a time reboot then try to backup to usb
if files are missing it will tell you on the screen
do you want me to upload the files ??

@Ali use backupsuite and u can make a full backup on usb or on the root,works perfect by me!

backupsuite and openpli needs the extra files cuz there missing in openpli 4
when you want to backup to usb
it even tells you on the screen
ftp the files to the right places and the backup will work

if you ftp just /usr/sbin/mkfs.ubifs
and reboot then try and backup to usb
the next error you will get is /usr/sbin/ubinize not found

if your using openpli 4 and not getting those errors when you try to backup to usb
then you are using a backup image that somebody else has made
and has already ftp them files over to openpli4

@davvvo with Backupsuite i can BACKUP anything and it doesnt give me a message that he needs other files or whatever....Only a formatted USB thats all!

As i posted prior..the best plugin to use for PLI is Dflash Here:Dflash 11.0 - Downloads - Digitalworldz
FTP ipk to temp and install.

if you download a untouched openpli 4 image from openpli dot org
then install Backupsuite
openpli or Backupsuite dont include the files above

so when you try and backup to usb it says cant find xxx file

so the fix is to ftp those files over
then backup to usb works

where did you get openpli4 with the file mkfs.ubifs already on it ?

You can download my backup openpli under downloads...like i said i never,i repeat,i never get a message or a error or not being to be able to make a backup of Pli

i go to backupsuite and do Full Backup on HDD/USB (not the red one that one says only USB) and then he asks for a USB and after the makes a full backup!!

So theres no OTHER files needed,i can confirm that!

Do you not think that the actual problem may lie with the Backupsuite.
As pointed out by dirkjan73 I never have a problem backing up openpli images but i use Dflash to do so.
Please if the problem persists open a new thread for far reaching support,this thread is getting bogged down and over populated with topics unrelated to original thread.

New Thread for solo2 clone support questions:Vu+solo 2 clone support thread.

I know its hard but for support from a larger audience please post any support questions unrelated to this thread like Hard drive and Ccam/MGcamd or image related problems blah blah etc etc.

Yes bro freshly downloaded from openpli.org

i am not inventing the wheel bro,it works,then u must do something wrong....


like i said dont use the RED one what says USB but the grey one says HDD/USB

and i know for a fact that untouched pli4 images dont come with the 4 of the 5 files required

@davvvo then please let the guy try my way....because i am 100000000% it works!because at this moment i am watching my solo2 making a succesful Fully backup...or are you telling me that i am lying?

Yes you have,you say u need extra files for backup and thats not true u need jack sh...tt ....its unbelievable that a perfect build software as Pli was not able to make a backup whitout extra needed files...i realy cant believe my eyes...

But i am closibg this conversation and wish u good luck with ure backups needing extra files...if you dont mind i will do whitout the extra files,and works perfect

if you download a fresh today copy of openpli 4 from openpli dot org
install it go to where these 2 files are and they wont be there
both are required to make a usb backup
/usr/sbin/mkfs.ubifs
/usr/sbin/ubinize

Ok ik give up... @davvvo ure right mate...i am lying...and i want to fool everyone over here..Pli one of the most used and DAILY updated software is not capable of a backup without extr files need it....(God somebody wake me up this must be a dream)

Maybe someone else can shed some light on this..As im with the same train of thought that you do not need additional files to be added to openpli image to make a backup..as i see it its the backupsuite thats causing a problem.
I have made backup images of latest pli no problem and without the need for additional files...

@AJT if you download backupsuite and want to use it...u see backup options

1-straight to USB (never tryd)

2-To HDD/USB only needed a USB,just give the command and say yes to start the backup and after a several minutes you got a fully backup....And lik u said and i am sayin NO EXTRA FILES NEEDED!!
@davvvvo bro try it this way and tell us the outcome,if itsnt working by you there must be something wrong,,sorry
