Hello guys. I'm trying to buy DM800SE with a8p when I come across this:

Anyone with experience of it and can recommend it?

Thanks.

like anything from PRC its a gamble... if they are about £150 its worth a shot as alot of people use clone VU+/DMM/AZ boxs without problems but their quality control is awfull sometimes. the choice is yours, regards mdt

I don't think there is solo 2 clone mate. The vu mini/cloud boxes are suppose to be ok for the price.

Thanks mdt & byson1984

I'll and do more research or confirm from the seller the box is vu+ solo2.

Thanks.

This comes from alot of experience with these boxes,I have ran for long periods DM800/800se clones and have been great work horses and never letting me down(except my cock ups)These boxes are well made and do the job only in my experience no doubt others have had horrors...
Started to venture out into VU+ boxes I had a solo clone..Clones look the part from the outside but a different story inside i found them to be poorly made and somewhat a waste of my time and effort and money as there is to much that goes wrong with them.If you buy from china you basically attempt to sort the problems yourself as its not worth sending back and spend hours or days as i have trying to get your box working correctly and safely
so i decided to pay a little extra and get a genuine box the price between clone and genuine for a solo is as little as £40.
I found a massive difference in build quality in genuine solo/Duo and it was well worth a little extra for total peace of mind and full support.
I have had genuine solo/Duo and now solo2 which is out of this world and in time will pay for itself with the knowledge its safe and always going to work right and that's worth any price.

so in all my DM clones did the job perfectly well with no hardware faults at all,VU clones on the other hand i found to be knackered out of the box and constant battle with security chip. This is all based only on MY use of the boxes.

Who makes these clones? Is it loads of factories or one lol

Thanks AJT for your useful opinion and explanation. I will stick to DM800SE a8p because of my small budget.

A lot of the factories over there whether its the sat boxes, watches or clothes tend to make the real McCoy in one half of the factory and then the other half they make clones and copies but with cheaper items/goods.

Ive had two dreambox clones and an openbox which I feel might be a clone over the years and not one has let me down but you will find the horror stories if you look for them. The VU+ clones though, it seems are far more problematic.

Has anyone got one of these clones? I quite fancy trying one but not sure if they are about yet..

I got my solo2 clone today and its the best box ever worth every penny $285 including dhl
updates online ETC.. compared it to my original and they are the same.

Intresting, this means the VU DUO clone market is likely to be in decline, if much higher specced solo 2 clones are in the market for not too much more money...VU solo 2 clones look like they are around £185 delivered. Duo Clones around £140 delivered.

Interesting mate, not yet found a supplier.

Send me a PM with a link to your supplier if you get chance.

If they are anything like the solo/duo clones I'd stay well clear. May well work great out of the box but for how long is the question.

I wouldn't touch a thing from the Ferrari team
