VU+ Duo stuck in stand by

My VU+ DUO is stuck in stand by , basically the electric's in our house tripped and now it's stuck with the red light on the dash.I tried powering down and unplugging power lead for a few minutes but when I boot back up it just stays with the red light on. The red light does ever so slightly flicker when I press any buttons on the remote but that's about it .

thanks for that, does it mean a full strip down and take the mobo out ? or can you get it from the top ?

What i do to save taking mobos out when just caps want replacing is to use some wire snips and chop the cap of as close to the can as possible leaving the caps legs still soldered to the board then i solder the new cap to those legs. Think this is the way described in the guide and how most do it.

Will do, I'll have nip out ltr buy a new cap.

just soldered a new cap to the legs I cut off the old cap and its now back up and running , thankyou for the advise.
