Hi mate from what i here these will load the very latest VU+ images, so you have a choice.

A good image to start with would be OpenPLI.

Take your pick from the image groups

Blackhole,Openpli,Openatv,OpenSpa,Vti,Vix etc and flash your box like this.

1. Download the USB version of any image.

2. Unrar and send the vuplus folder to your USB stick.

3. Turn off the power at the back of the VU rear of the VU+ you'll find the switch near the power cable. Insert your USB stick in the front USB port.

4. Turn back on the power.

On the front display you'll see reading USB device, this takes a while then you'll see erasing then programming.

It will then tell you to remove USB and reboot. Reboot with the power switch at the back.

Just heads up
He has a mini vu duo and it don't have a front display
@Diamondpants
do as ferret says but once you turn it on it will read the usb stick just wait until you see a the green light blinking then it will have finished flashing or jut wait about 3-5 mins then power off take usb stick out and power back on and wait a min for it to boot up
Also be aware they are fussy and don't like some cheapo usb sticks so if it don't boot up after flashing try a different usb stick to flash it again

Thanks Ferret and Fergalsworld

The wee pointers will come in handy when i get the rar file downloaded..... lol:eatarrow:

Stiil reading about lads, what is the importance ofthe Kernal and will it change if i update the boxes image via usb?.....:bangshead:
