Finally took the plunge and upgraded. Everything fine, apart from one rather major problem. My download speeds are a third of what they were with Win 10! :(

Seems to be a known problem, and I've tried umpteen fixes suggested on t'internet...but no luck. 😢

Anybody got any suggestions? If I can't get a fix I'm just going to do a clean install of Win 10.

Check the setting and see if you're on 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex?

And check that if you're using a wireless adapter

Thanks for the input Spud, but still the same. I'll try a few more suggested fixes on the web later today but after that it's a clean Win10 install.

This is doing my head in, and life's too short for the hassle. :(

us this wireless or wired

have you downgraded the drivers to use the Windows 10 drivers instead of Windows 11

Phew! Thank **ck for that. back to Win10 and decent download speed. :)

The really annoying thing is that all my searching over the last few days have shown that large numbers of people are having the same problem, but Microsoft seem to be in denial. They're about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

Not blessed with big download speeds here guess thats why all good for me 🤣

Give Windows server a run 180 days evaluation can re-arm 5 times

adapt to desktop environment

works flawless
