In 2024, Sky plans to close some more SD channels. Obviously, you won’t be able to view these channels anymore on Enigma2 boxes, as the HD equivalents don’t work. However, this is what might be concerning:

“…some SD channels will continue. However, broadcast parameters will change, meaning older boxes will no longer receive the channels.”

“Behind the change is a switch to the newer DVB-S2 standard, which isn’t supported by first generation Sky boxes.”

Does this mean that channels like Sky Sports SD might not be viewable, via cardsharing (on Enigma2 boxes), sometime next year?
