HI all

I'm all set up now with Win10 but on every forum it states to disable Windows Defender Firewall as it's 'heavy', i have only ever used Comodo in the past but been recommended this link -

Test antivirus software for Windows 10 - August 2019

What are people using? Do i need two separate programs? A firewall and an antivirus?

I don't mind paying a small fee for something decent

Cheers

Personally I used Nod32 from eset. Small lightweight and not a system hog.

Most AV's come with built in firewalls these days.

try symantec endpoint protection
home users only need client version

I wouldn't personally use that. Very resource heavy, and puts files all over the place.
I didn't think later versions of symantec are as resource hungry as earlier versions at least from reviews I've read including link OP mentioned.

Windows defender, built in one, seems to have been highly rated. If you find a stand alone firewall then let me know but you could use BiniSoft Windows Firewall Control (from the makers of malwarebytes)to make windows firewall a bit easier to use?

Windows Defender "heavy"? I totally disagree.
I use Defender and Antimalwarebytes, nothing else needed.
