Connected it up lastnight and it seems it can only be powered by its own psu
Only tried it for 15 mins as the mrs was dominating the tv as usual!
Recording quality is perfect and totally silent, will have another play tonight to see if i can get the KV to power it.

you can get the same one from pc world. WD 1Tb. I got it a couple of weeks ago but it is powered by it's own PSU
