The Box crashes randomly when swiching channels.

Does any one know the cause of

It is at this point the box stops responding to the remote control or goes very very slow.

Try using a different EMU.

Tried using diff emu,
Tried using avia 600 instaed 500.

Funny thing is when i disable IDE drivers then it doesnt happen

Maybe the extra load on the power supply or mainboard is causing it to run poorly with the hdd connected. Remember they weren't designed to have a hdd installed. The extra heat might not help either.
