I'm not really into this stuff but got this off another forum so hope it helps you guys
vm are knocking my macs off fast lol
solution.
set original mac config ie light or mid etc.. that relates to mac in 250config prog
power off modem
open network connections
right click internet ether adaptor then status
properties
tick show icon in notification are when connected (if not already done)
make it easier and quicker to play with it.
ok then close
icon should be on system tray
open internet explorer (not firefox it dont work)
type 192.168.100.1 put in user and pass then u can f5 refresh config page until u see allowed.
that saves time too as you can troubleshoot problems also on log on webpage u can see any errors ie: failed to get config etc.... tftp failed etc....
right click then network connections/ (folder opens - keep it open)
right click ether adap and disable .............. then enable
(if ip ever sets 192.168.100.11 reboot pc!!!!!) otherwise you will waste time trying to get it working.. trust me lol
keep ether adap status open (u can now just right click tv icon in sys tray and choose status) see thats better and quicker.
choose support tab and watch and wait if all goes well it starts:

192.168.100.10 etc..
wait this is where you have patience.
eventually it will say invalid ip 0.0.0.0 etc..
then aquiring network and you should have an ip set from virgin media.
if not load smac change last 3 boxes range 00 - FF update each line of ether adaptor that relates to ur connection.
refresh and restart adaptor using disable/enable also reboot modem
start from steps above
if that still doesnt work ie: 169.xx.xx.xx ip change mac of modem and follow steps above.
when u are up n running surfing net load 250cong app.
force this config : cmbus-pkg2-nat-any.cm
thats new 20mb file for uk.
ive ran modem better and faster with that config on a 250
