Setting up cccam and oscam - help appreciated :)

Ok sooo. I think Im nearly there, unless Im totally mistaken them Im not .

Before anyone gets the wrong idea - Im not up to anything if anyones read my previous posts they'll know how I got my sea lion.

Anyway... So Im under the impression I can use this lion and convert it into an oscam line? Ive added oscam and cccam to my box. Got this in my oscam.conf

But Im not clearing anything. Can anyone tell me if there's something Ive missed please?

OK so if you have a line from outside your network there is no reason to use oscam,

Using oscam is mainly used to read a card to be able to view certain channels that Cccam can't,

But as your line has already been read elsewhere you won't be able to do anything else to it.

AH right - the reason I wanted to do it was two (three fold) I am unable to clear ESPN with the current line I have (would converting it from cccam to oscam enable me to clear it even as the source is cccam??) Secondly I wanted to reshare the line to a second box in another room as the source of the line is from ages ago and I dont think they know Ive got it (the line Ive got must be a paid server as he's showing 37 cards although I havent paid for it). Also I just want to see how to do it. Third reason is just to learn

No it won't clear espn as it's initially being read by Cccam,

As for the other it's not the done thing

why use oscam and cccam? oscam is all you need and more. cccam is outdated

you are getting there, in oscam.conf you need to fill out the dvbapi section and use oscam.server for your N line.

No need for dvbapi as he is using CCcam

oscam.conf, remove cccam section if you are not sharing on

Thanks will give it a go. If I was just using oscam do I need to remove cccam from the blue button start up (tm600) and just have oscam? Or the fact I have a blank cccam.cfg gets it ignored?

yeah remove cccam from the config and delete the binary, no point in it having using up memory or flash space

Oscam and cccam seem to come as a pair? I cant see how I unistall one without the other? Im on the IQ UR image - latest one for the TM600.

delete cccam binary from /var/bin or /usr/bin

startup script could be anywhere im not familiar with IQ UR image
