well i fecked up restore partition and had to install windows 7 which does run ok ish
now is it worth putting in an extra 1gb memory to give max of 2gb or would i be better going back to windows XP, is memory going to make that much difference on spec of cpu.

thanks for looking

I chucked the extra gig in my similar spec Sammy NC10, on the basis that the system memory is shared with the Intel graphics chip. (And I'm still running XP on it...)

I run win7 on my mrs's 130 and its fine for general stuff. Just do the usual disable stuff that not required in services etc

Switch off anything thats running in the background thats not necessary.

Java/adobe/misc software updaters but leave antivirus etc

Have a read of this

I have Windows 7 Starter on my Samsung NC10, not amazing but works ok.

Make sure u get the starter version of Windows 7 - not released commercially but it is in the 'All in One' version doing the rounds in the usual places
