is it possable to make a cd/r diskthat can be placed into my comuter and restore my computer from a formated c: drive with all sound /vga/ programmes on.ect

Another beauty that I always use is Power Quest Drive Image Pro.
 
Turts....What you need to do is get yourself Norton Ghost, add an extra harddisk/partition to your ( it makes it easier...) and then make an image file of your C drive, when you've done an install and put all the drivers in and stuff. Although don't go berserk as remember the image file must exceed the capacity of your CDR. Although Norton will compress the image as part of the process. I've done this a couple of times, I installed my OS, all drivers, scanners, cameras and associated app's. This should make a file @600-650mb, you can then burn it along with DOS norton exe files to a CD. <img src="graemlins/EVIL.gif" border="0" alt="[EVIIL]" /> <br />Have Fun
 
Lone Gunman is correct in what he says for ease of use, however if your hard drive goes down then partition or no partition you will not be able to access your image. Safer burning your image to CD but more messing about.
