PSP on 3.40 OE-A

I don't own one of these but have been asked to update one for a friend. His wife is mad on the Tiger Woods games but this console needs updating to play the 09 game.
Tried the network update but this firmare version appears to be custom so won't install the update.

Just after a little pointer really as to which firmware to go for, I'll then do a search for it along with a tutorial. Its' just that this current firmware appears to be quite old so don't fancy backtracking a couple of years to try and catch up.

5.50_Prometheus4 is newest for ur type of psp.
send me pm with addy and ill send u a pandora that
will put u on latest in 5mins.

As ur psp is on very old stuff
and needs to be done in a few stages .
