Is this the right process for modem hacking?

I chose one of the cheap ones in case I was no good Part No: N38AC It was one of the blue ones - a 30watt one, about £6. Has a reasonably fine tip. I think the yellow ones are better though or maybe even the gas ones.

lol...and there was me thinking I would have had to spend about 30+ quid to get a decent one Tho I wouldnt mind paying more if the extra benefits are worth it.......and a stand to rest it in so I dont set fire to the carpet or drop it in my crotch which I would be prone to
