Just Managed to get XviD streaming to my TM600

Install VLC 0.8.6i

then create shortcut > right click on shortcut > properties > then add this to target line "--intf wxwin --extraintf=http"

e.g mine is now
"G:\pvr\VLC.old\VLC\vlc.exe --intf wxwin --extraintf=http"

start vlc from that shortcut and go..
Settings > Preferences > Input/Codecs > UDP port "change to 8080 and save"

Now Load TM webui > Zap > Stream > Settings > Server Settings > Edit
and change

Server IP Address : to the i.p you are running VLC on. e.g "192.168.1.2"
Movie Directory: to the drive letter you want the TM to be able to load files from.

Finally with VLC running, Press yellow button on TM and select "VLP (Movieplayer 1.5)

then just find file you want to play and select it. will take a while to start/buffer...

p.s
i found the quality to be quite low when streaming xvid's so i went back into
TM webui > Zap > Stream > Settings > Video Settings
and clicked on the little pen n paper icon on the avi line and edited
Video Rate: 2200
if you go much higher then that the video will start glitching.

think thats was everything i did... :D

think you get even better quality without glitching if you drop the resolution down to.

576x576 and put the bitrate to 3000

also it wont load any files with spaces in the name, gives me an error.

so just change.them.into.dots.avi

I cannot connect through tm600 is my ip address the same as ipv4 address? Sorry, I am not too good with these computers, running vista home ed. I can to enigma web interface and watch tv but not the other way.

Also I cannot set target line to this, message make sure the path and title name are correct.

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe--intf wxwin --extraintf=http"

No it's the local i.p address for the computer your running VLC on.

to find out what that is go to > start > run > type in "cmd" > type in "ipconfig"
that it's the i.p on the "IP Address" line

e.g > IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.6

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe--intf wxwin --extraintf=http"

you need a space between vlc.exe and the commands > "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe--intf wxwin --extraintf=http"

if your on vista i think it might also need to have quotes in target like >
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --intf wxwin --extraintf=http

got it thanks m8, quotes were the problem and it appears my ipv4 addy is my ip.
Thanks again Tonedeff

Thanks for the guide.
Had to use
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --intf wxwin --extraintf=http
Vlc v1.03 did not work with this, supposedly because wxwin becomes wx* after v0.9
One problem: anyone got an idea on how to pause/fast forward or rewind the film?!
Thanks again,
Betas

not tried it for while but the vlc plugin that was on UR image i tried had pause option in it but wasn't mapped to any keys. so i guess it doesn't function properly at the moment or something.

ayone tried this on windows seven tried all the above and i still get the error so i carnt set nothing....
