hi guys

read alot of guides

managed to get ddwrt router to show 2 sepereate ssid with seperate ip .etc

but when i connect the super hub it dont get a wan ip????? according to ddwrt status page = no internet

superhub is set to modem mode

anybody got a guide that works 100% for your main ddwrt router??

with time access limits on guest network and possible bandwidth limit

cheers

can you tell me what your aim is. I have done alot of work with ddwrt creating subnets, guest wifi. Just now I have setup a ddwrt as a repeater bridge router and also created a seperate vlan qith its own subnet and can access internet with this method

My aim is to have the superhub as modem
Ddwrt as main router with a personal wifi for family protected and a guest wifi with speed limit

Both wifi have 2 b seperate from each other
Eg 192.168.1.1 for family
192.168.2.1 for guests

Guests can't FTP , ssh, .etc just browse websites

But it's critical the guests can't access / hack to family wifi / main network

see attached document

meets your requirements

as this is done on the router with WAN port in use, change the nvram variable to lan to wan (as below)

wan_ipaddr
wan_netmask

also the iptables rules is set to restrict down to 1mbs - change this to reflect your requirements.

The document was written for a WAP (where as WAN port disabled) but it should apply to your requirements, may need some tweaks.

if your still stuck and need some help, and you can provide me a secure connection to your ddwrt router then I am more than happy to configure this for you.

any update on this, have you managed to get it sorted

Ain't had time to try it

Hopefully 2morrow should do it

followed that guide

both wifi have net access and guest 1 is limited to 1mb

on the create bridge part it says bridge br1 to r01 or somthing
on my drop down box didnt have r01 in list so chose w0.01

everything is working ok

except i want to limit the times when net is available e.g.

9am to 6pm mon-sat net on

after 6pm net off
and all day sunday net off

ip range 192.168.200.1 - 192.168.200.150

set that in the access restrictions but its not working???

i set it as 3 profiles wich are enabled to deny access

1st profile
mon - sat 0.00am to 9am deny
mon sat 6pm to 11.59pm deny
sun 24hr deny

this is for guest network but even though its all enabled the blocks not working???

go to the admin -> management tab

under cron click enabled

under additonal cron jobs enter (below as an example - you will need to put in the times to shutdown and back on and put correct guest wifi adapter)

0 0 * * 6 root wl0.1 radio off
0 0 * * 1 root wl0.1 radio on

not tested so cant say it will work .. will test it later on tonight

CRON - DD-WRT Wiki more info on cron
