Erase lost iphone

Hi,

does anyone know how to erase a lost iphone remotely as when I try by find my iphone, it then sends a verifaction code to the lost phone, which is bloody useless.

Can it be done through iTunes app?

You should be able to do from logging into your iCloud account on a Mac or pc. I also think that find my phone must be activated to be able to remotely wipe it.
You should always have to step certification set up on another device, just in case you lose your main device. Example a family member’s device and phone number.

Cheers will do that next time but they do not make it easy.
