For those DW members who cannot use Filezilla, DCC or don’t have a PC, there is another way of editing your softcam lines using Tuxbox Commander (Tuxcom) and the remote control. I have compiled a list of remote control key functions to enable you to edit your seeline and config files. Obviously you need to install the Tuxcom plugin first.
Using Tuxcom on Enigma 1 and 2 Receivers.
Key configurations for remote control.
Switch on your STB and go to plugins, select and run Tuxcom.
Use left/right keys to select left or right hand file directory.
Scroll down to var/keys (or where your file is) and only highlight the file.
Don't press OK just yet.
(Note the 1 to 0 menu configuration and colour key menu at the screen bottom).
Press key 4 to enter edit mode on the highlighted file.
You can delete (red) or insert (green) lines in this window.
Scroll down to the text line you want to edit and select (OK)
It will appear in larger text.
You can overwrite any new new data on an existing line.
Characters are similar to text entering on a mobile phone. (2abc etc)
Yellow button toggles upper/lower case.
Green button is mark text and red is clear input.
Using clear input will delete the whole line.
You can use vol+ to add a letter and vol- to delete a letter.
To change a character to a space, a blank space is after( : ) on key 1.
Non alphabetic symbols are on keys 1 and zero. (# is on 0 key & : is on 1 key)
You can scroll all upper/lower case characters and symbols using up/down buttons.
you can use the green button and left/right buttons to mark text into the clipboard.
You can also use the blue key to insert a letter or text from the clipboard.
When you have completed your editing press exit then red key to save.
Then OK to implement the command line.
I would advise playing about with a spare file to become proficient at editing.
You can put lots of instructions and reminders in your command file which will not affect the operation of your line or STB if you precede your data with a # at the start of the command line.
For example:- a typical config file could be
# Dbox2 cfg file
# 15th November 2014
#
#
CWS: serveradd.dns 9600 user pass 01 02 etc.
#
#
# end of cfg file
The only line implemented is the one without the # at the start of the line
