does tm nano work the very same as tm singal?

ALL

does the tm nano work the very same as the singal, a m8 has one and im trying to help him set it up but he cant see where the plugins are etc as it described it sound's nothing like the singal, does he need to load 4D image for it to run like singal? he has said that it say's open pli on startup but he did't see 4D logo, iv not got one, can anyone help?

There's a seller on ebay shipping them with an older pli.

I wouldn't bother with the older one if that is teh one it was shipped with.

I'd download and install the latest 4D one. That way you will be able to download plugins from their server.

is there a way to install new image as he has said that there is no exit button on the front of the box, on my singal i would tap exit when turning on it to boat the box, thanks for the help

USB drive must be in fat32 system
Switch off receiver (not standby)
Insert USB into receiver
Power on
After prompt on screen press OK on receiver (there is no front display). If you dont it will boot normally.
After "finished" prompt switch off receiver
Remove USB and reboot

got the box sort'd, he could't get the image to load even after i had told him how to ( thanks to Abu Baniaz for the info on loading image etc ) so he took the box to mine earlier tonight and as Abu Baniaz had said it had old image on it and was able to load the 19/7/13 4D image following Abu Baniaz instructions and its just like the singal so was able to load plugins and rat's channel updater and picon updater witch IMO is the best channel list and picons you can get any where fact!
only problem im seeing with the nano and this could just be the files ive loaded witch are the same iv got on singal,2t,twin, is some plugins dont work properly like youporn/youtube/onDemand, also Tsmedia/java iptv updater/sportmax will kinda work but some fed's will make the box freeze/running cog's needing the box to be switched off to getting going again.
on the plus side digidud"s uk&ire lottery plugin and icefilms preview pluging work's 100%
is there different versions of the plugins for the nano working i need to load for him?

some of the streaming plugins will use usb or hdd as a slight buffer, the nano needs an additional kit to fit a hdd, but try them with a usb stick plugged in, also, the on demand plugin has had a few updates, which need to be manually installed if using the 4D image etc

thanks man you pointed me in the right way :Cheers:
when i advised him to buy the nano i told him to get the hdd kit witch he will only use the fan as he dont record but good to have to keep the box cool and has got it for his son's bedroom and wants to save ££'s, the reason i told him to go for the nano was i had a fare idea it was same as singal and i want'd to see wot they where like ( i had told him that if it was sh1t i would give him my singal and that i would help him thought setting it up etc but getting back to wot you where saying about some plugins needing a usb/hdd to buffer the bandwidth/speed of chipset talking back forward between file crypt incorporation, i had already put a small 16g usb set for cross epg and thought that was sort'd but my dumb ass did't think to set the recording path to his usb witch solved the problem, thanks again digidude you'v helped my dumb ass again : thanks :

PS this little nano is a very good box every bit as good as the singal apart from not having a scart, off topic a little but can any one till me why TM has stopped putting RF modulators in there e2 stb's apart from the 2t and twin? that would set them well apart from other e2 stb's out there, just MO
