Taken from a Tutorial i was writing a while ago for the Duo and the ViX image, although i never got around to completing it. It's the same procedure for your receiver.

Setting up a Softcam

In this part of the tutorial I am going to show you how to setup CCcam to work with a *** uk FTV or Free To View card. We will not however show you how to setup a softcam for any thing to do with Card Sharing, If this is what you are looking for Use GOOGLE.

Before we go any further you will need a few things.
( you can place the card in the receiver now using any of the card reader slots but making sure the chip is face down )

1. The softcam you intend to use I am using CCcam for this tutorial.
2. A suitable FTP program, For the purpose of this tutorial I am using FileZilla as it is a free program.
3. A *** UK FTV card, a deactivated White *** card will work here.
4. A copy of Notepad++ ( you can use the built in windows notepad program but it gives mixed results )
5. Don't forget those clean underpants.

First you will need to download the Softcam a copy of which can be found here.
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.
I my self am using enigma2-plugin-cams-cccam.2.2.1_1.0-r0_mipsel.ipk but any version will work.

You will also need to download Filezilla, a copy of which can be found on the forum or direct from the authors here.

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

You want the Client version and not the Server version.

And of course not forgetting Notepad++ which can be downloaded here.
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

making sure your receiver is fully connected to your network and you have a copy of the IP address for the receiver you can proceed to the next step.

Install Filezilla onto your PC / laptop allowing any access your firewall asks of you, then launch it once installed.

For this step i am going to use the Quick connect option but you can at a later date create a profile for your receiver so you can connect at the press of a button or two.

Along the top of the program you will see the following boxes.
Host: ( enter the IP address of your receiver here )
Username: This is set to ROOT by default so enter that.
Password: by default this if left blank or password, unless you have changes this. for now enter password.
Port: The default port is 21 so enter that then press the connect button.

If all goes successfully you should now be connected to your receiver. the boxes on the left of the program are your PC those on the right are the internal file structure of your Receiver. navigate to the TMP/ folder on your receiver and drag the softcam file ( must be in .ipk format ) to this location. once done you can exit from Filezilla. ( although you will need to use it once more before we are done ).

On your receiver navigate to the ipk installer. this can be found as so. Blue button> ViX> install local extension. If your file transfer via filezilla went correctly you will see the file listed here. Highlight this file and press the green button to install the file, you should see a conformation box just follow the directions selecting yet to reboot once complete.

While the receiver is rebooting install and launch notepad++
make a new file by clicking on File> New. you do not need to enter any thing into this file for use with a FTV card but the file is needed by the cam.
with this new file open again click on file but this time select the save as option and you will see another box popup.

In this new box select the location you wish to save this file to using the icons on the left hand side then under the File name heading enter the file name as CCcam.cfg Making sure it is this exact spelling as it is case sensitive then under the heading Save as type select the following All types (*.*) and press the save button. Once again open your FTP program and login as above but this time navigate to /ETC on the receiver and copy the file you just created there, exiting the program once done.

Now we can activate the Cam via the blue button. Blue button> softcam manager. press green to start the cam and blue to enable auto start.

Thats pretty much it. you should now be setup to use your *** uk FTV card Via CCcam.

So there you go, If you have made it through this tutorial and not needed to use those spare pair of underpants. Give your self a huge pat on the back and maybe go for a cuppa. you deserve it.

Re: TM-twin_DdV3.2-beta_W-bootloader_and_splashscreen.rar

they said that is right stable software for that particular model and should not be changed as it will void the warranty of the box.

.

personally i would never buy a enigma based receiver if the manufacturer tried to claim that changing images voided the warranty, after all thats the whole point in buying a Enigma / Enigma2 based receiver in the first place, so you can change images and experiment etc. of course thats a different thing all together than using a BETA image that needs specific drivers and bootloader files etc to work.

We are all guilty of this
https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?threads/287998/
The thread was aimed at you directly but no replys from yourself.
I know i'm guilty as well but if a thread was aimed directly at me I think I would at least make the time to comment on it.

the guy was getting help before i had even saw the thread, and had also, by myself, via PM, been asked to start a thread so others could benefit from the help he receives instead of it all beinh hidden away in the sometimes hundreds of PMs i get a week (my inbox currently holds nearly 3000 messages)

ok, people still help each other out, but, in this section, people are looking for the smallest excuse to attack any little thing thats posted, is it the members fault he got what he had? what are we on, page 9, nearly 100 posts, and theres probably 5 that actually help the guy out, if he can be arsed to trawl through it all

in this section, the 'help a member' attitude that used to exist, is trying to shine through every now and then, but is continously stamped down by members, for whatever reason, wether its been 2 years of shit support on hardware, software, official support, lack of support, or any other issue, NONE of it is actually down to DW itself, and its deffo not down to the members finding DW and asking for help

Lata needs to get hold of TM Technical help which is what I advised way back it was the best help I could give
He needs advice on this from TM
Cams/config/channel list/picons/Epg in vix image
Download cams/config from download centre
Then perhaps we can all find out more?
Somewhere along the line of research there has to be a guinea pig

Re: TM-twin_DdV3.2-beta_W-bootloader_and_splashscreen.rar

Lata mate just return the box and buy from someone else who wont feed you with shit about voiding your warranty. I wouldnt buy anything directly from TM again, they just make up their shit as they go along. You should not void your warranty by changing your image as thats the whole point of a open source box you might aswell of bought a fooking sky box of ebay for £20 and asked help on how to modify that lol

To be fair Digidude has helped more than his fair share of members, maybe more than anyone on here.
I think he has gone the extra mile on many occasions to help others.
He also has a life outside DW (Where we don't know as it's hearsay lol)
On the downside he is Welsh lol

Re: TM-twin_DdV3.2-beta_W-bootloader_and_splashscreen.rar

Just to clarify matters here.
This is from TM.
"By mistake last 3 weeks 2 receivers left TM with vix beta image"{should have been original software}Mistake rectified will not happen again"
"If this customer contacts us we will address the situation straight away"
"If you contact TM direct by telephone or email etc we will fix or refund if genuine issue"

So the way forward is contact TM direct.
Ask for Richard or email TM with title FAO Richard.

This is what pisses me off not having a dig but why are users having clarifying matters on TMs behalf. Im staying away from this topic now. Had enough getting too tedious

He has not posted it on any ones behalf it's in the download centre it's what tm have put and I would say he has copy and pasted it to put a end to the topic well done manic

i dont know who keeps starting all of these nasty rumours, a few years ago i even found myself on wikipedia (most of that was true though) but i only ever need to leave DW to install a few satellite dishes to get money to pay tescos to deliver beer to my house, other than that, what else is there to do outside of dw?

you only see being welsh as a downside cos youre jealous that youre not welsh, english tart :salute:

Guys no need of arguing now i had to call TM again persuade them and tell them i have Beta image installed on my box and they said either to bring box back so that they can install the right image or we can refund back your money.

Re: TM-twin_DdV3.2-beta_W-bootloader_and_splashscreen.rar

Atleast you have your own choice now.

Take it back, have them flash the IQ image and get on with your life, just keep your eyes peeled for official releases in future..
