Hi
I have a TM 600 with UR-SR recently put in. Everything working ok but I'd like to upload a custom channel list.
The problem is that I cannot connect to the receiver.
I tried with filezilla and cuteftp and nothing. I also to see if I can get in with putty...but cannot get passed the "My STB" login screen.
I then tried with DCC v2.96 but also won't let me in.
I contacted the guys that put the image in and they said that they didn't put any password in.
What can I do?

Thanks for your help

TJ

Hi I had this prob and had to use telenet, if you go to page 2 and look for my original post CCcam.cfg the answer how to do it is there, hope this helps you

Thanks iain66 but I doesn't let me type ´passwd´ to change the password because it is not connected in the first place.
I'm going to have to try via TuxBox commander but I don't think is installed.
Does anybody know how to install this plugin?

Press the blue button twice and download tuxbox commander plug-in.

If you never used tux commander before this will be very difficult for you.

For your well beeing
First you should really try to telnet to your Technomate Linux receiver
If this sounds all too complicated, get someone who can do this for you

telnet IPADRESSOFYOURBOX

You should type without errors your login name that would be root, then ENTER
you should type without errors your password that could be empty(just press enter again or try with a space) or technomate or tm500 or tm600. when you logged in you can then change your password with the command mentioned passwd.

I wish I could get in via telnet but I can't...I tried with with empty password, blank spaces etc...

kopernikus, I went into the blue panel...well I think it is anyway. It says "UR Panel" searched for tuxBox commander under each section(including add-ons) but could not find it?, is it hidden somewhere else?

If you are using the telnet command (telnet 192.168.1.xxx) you need to have a knowledge of some basic DOS commands to look at the files on your STB ~ Once you are connected you can activate the UR help file to list the commands. Make sure you telnet the correct IP address ~ if you are using DHCP then the last number of the IP address could be 100, 101, 102 or 103 etc. ~ the login is usually “root” and the password usually blank. If the DOS window closes before you can enter the login details, on your PC goto >All programs>accessories>command prompt>cd\>telnet etc. ~ if you have set a password, then using telnet to enter the pw, the curser does not move when you are entering it.
I would download filezilla and use that if you don’t have any success.
Hope this helps

Tried all that, telnet, ftp.

Tux box commander is not listed under add-ons...can i download and install it some other way?

I guess the guys that set this up didn't want anybody to get in...do I have any other options?

It sounds to me as if your TM600 is not connecting to your router ~ To ftp your TM600 from your PC both need to be connected to your broadband network router ~ Make sure DHCP is "on" with your lan button.

the UR-SR image is locked down so much, that the blue panel connects to a seperate server that has tuxbox commander removed for the reason that it can remove passwords

you can load a custom channel list, but youll need to find one in .tar.gz format, and load it using the restore function in the miniweb

to enable you to have full access to your receiver, youll need to flash a non SR image onto it, but, then you will lose access to the channels that the trader who sold you the receiver has setup for you

in miniweb i think you can read the cccam config file and if so copy the C: line, reflash box with a new image then ftp as normal, (maybe)?

digidude, installer. Thanks for your replies.

When you say miniweb, you mean the web interface on the receiver, right? I can make channel lists compressed with .tar.gz format, no problem. What I don't like is the received being locked down so much so I'm going to try find out how to "backup" the cccam config file and then flash with another image...do you have any recommendations and where to download it from?

Regards TJ

if you flash with another image, even if you backup your cccam file, you will lose access to the channels you can clear at the moment, the cccam file that you backup will be blank, as the SR image 'hides' information that allows you to connect

the only way youll be able to update will be by pressing the lan then blue button, otherwise youll lose all access to the traders server

so if i copy the cccam.cfg file and then update via the blue button to a newest ur team image and then but tha cccam.cfg file back to its original folder i ll have access to the channels as before?

if you have the UR-SR image, no, as this image connects in a totally different way, im not quite sure how, but it hides connection information.

i managed to break into a receiver a while back and actually extract this information, and its all newcamd based and makes a random password stored in a type of hex format along with a mac address

changing from the UR-SR image, you WILL lose access to the server of the person who sold you the box

Ok...I'll wait until my "subscription" rans out then re-flash with a new image. (any recomendations?)
Which one is the lan button?

its funny just how many people buy these boxes as plug n play, yet still come on here and try to do things themselves, dont get me wrong i'm not puttin people down for doing this, its great that they want to learn, its just a pity they didnt buy the box from a reputable source, come up here then and be taught what to do etc, cut the trader with his illegal server out of the equation....

hope you get sorted m8..
