starview pvr remote won't work

hi guys. starview pvr remote not working. lights up and emits signal but box doesn't acknowledge it. tried pressing STB button which has a habit of "switching the remote off". tried unplugging box from the mains. any ideas welcome. cheers:Smokin:

Have you tried pressing the AUX button on the remote.

This used to work for me.
