This Box has the same Options as the 9000 series and has the same OSD, but is faster and with more features...

I can confirm that the build quality is excellent with the same remote control as supplied with the HD9000/9000combo, it uses the same channel list as the 7000/9000 series and the same softkey.

the remotes with the HD spiderboxes are the best ive ever come across

I totally agree with this, well spaced keys and a good size not tiny little buttons also they can be programmed to operate your TV, DVD, VCR as well as your Spiderbox.

I think thats because they're made by One 4 All arent they?
Or is it Multivision hahaha

But it is a really great remote, they remind me of the one for my TM6900HD thats a good remote too.
But hasn't it come down to something strange that when a new box comes out we're talking more about the remotes lol.

Who's the official mfr of this box?

ive been thinking about this today, and boxes that are similar spec, and do the same, and more (except for the service+ stuff) can be picked up for anything from £50-150 LESS than the £239 price shown in the first post.

is the service+ feature, in its current form, really worth the extra?

It all depends on what service + gives and its stability i suppose only time will tell

Are these other boxes as straight forward to set up and get going with? I'm only asking as I only have experiance of spiderbox

OK easy to setup are the HDX4, X403p, S9 and S10 all very easy to setup and in the lower price bracket. I can recommend the HDX4 and the X403p (same receiver really) in my opinion (not shared by everyone) they are better than the S9 and S10.
The software for the S9/10 is still a little primitive at this time and nowhere nearly as good as that for the X4/403p but things change..

if you already have the files on a usb stick, the dish setup, and know your lat/lon, they can be setup, running and online, with access to youtube, net radio streaming, xxx streaming, pc streaming and CS access, in less than 6 mins.

ive known a newbie to follow a written instruction sheet, take details from his existing receiver, and be up and running in less than 20 mins with no problems

Yes, why you do not recommend them even in Technomate section if they are so good .lol

Common forget about Chinese and all over world copy...

Spiderbox is Korean and QUALITY BOX.

If you like cheap next moth will be some new boxes £59 1CA -PVR with Cccam Newcad - Avatar - Games NAt32 and Google map and others...Just to clean some Openbox away....

I feel I should point out that the build quality of the Spiderbox is far superior to the receivers I mentioned earlier the HDX4, X403p, S9 and S10. There is really no comparison, the cheaper receivers do work and I have tried the four I mentioned however I can in no way guarantee their durability. Also they come without a line so that needs to be taken into consideration as well.
You should consider them as "budget" receivers and handy say for a spare bedroom or as a second receiver when needed.
Basically "you gets what you pay for" and in my case I use my 9000 combo full time and I will stick with it.

because some people tend to get very touchy if the word 'technomate' is used in the spiderbox room for some reason, but the most popular receiver i install at the moment is the TM5402

No, but most people want to be clients these days, commercial card servers have killed off the hobby of card sharing

10 lines? no 24 lines at the same time, yes :) and will also run smoothly on ANY version of cccam server ;)
3.Home net
yes, as well as from usb and full 3D mkv streaming
4.Ethernet
yes

im not posting to start any flaming (again) i was simply asking, when compared to other available cheaper receivers, is the service+ feature really worth the extra
