Got one last week so far no problems with it only thing I can fault is the menu system, but will get used to that, got it working on cs no probs but for some reason is a lot better than the tm5402hd in that the connection is a lot more stable, with no freezing or glitches so far.
Just need to sort the channel list out to suit me and that's it.I understand this box is the same as the openbox is that correct.

Not seen one, can you post some pictures of the menu system etc.

I suspect it will be the same as the S10, although there are that many copies/clones and manufacturers churning these out now it's hard to even say if it's the same as anything previous.

The only thing I have read is that they are subject to heat buildup.

menu should be the same as the s10 since it is the same firmware.
As always, people should back up their firmware 100% when they get the receiver, just in case.

Tried a s10 image but gave me to many problems on the cs side so went back to original that came with the box works a treat,s10 image had problems with the sat signal and took to long to open freesat channels.

As far as getting warm goes box has been on for 3 days so far and there is no overheating, on the one I have or maybe the fact that it sits on a glass shelf, the Tm5402hd is a lot wormer than the s12.

So far very happy with the box sorted the channels the way I like them, tried other channel lists but like to have them in a particular order.

Make sure it is not a clone if it is flash with clone safe firmware, someone I know got their S12 bricked and had a hard job finding a rs232 connector to reflash and finally ended up making the connector himself.

Depends on what you are talking about, if it gets bricked then there are ways of getting it going again but if you are talking about gift we can't discuss here.

Funny I find the same thing, I have an Openbox S9 and a S10, both run my sealions perfectly, use the same lines in my TM5402HD M2 and it glitches all the time, just got a TM F3/5 and it glitches the same as its big brother!

Really annoying because I wanted one box for all my different satellites and the Openbox/Skybox won't open 27.5W, hence the need for the TMs.
