Skybox F5s file mismatch

Hi i keep getting file mismatch but i read it could be becouse usb disabled . any other way apart from rs232

Yes and I'm still havin loads of problems just can't get any firmware to load on a libortview F5s box

Have you tried latest skybox f5s fw?

Has anyone found a workaround for the file mismatch,I have f5s clone which only accepts firmware from and this site hasn't had a update
for ages,I would like to be able to install the 7 day epg but every firmware I try gives mismatch error.

Hi,

I have the same F5S Clone as you and the latest firmware update that I've been able to install from the alternative site is SKYBOX_F5S_20130801.zip
It's such a shame too as I'd love to get a decent epg and working netapps which only seem to be available with the genuine firmware.

There appears to be newer firmware on the clone libertview site (libertview cc) that works with these f5s but still no 7day epg or working apps

I tried that site earlier but it appears to be down ...Don't suppose you know of an alternative?

Thanks manic01, the other site was working again and I've downloaded libertview F5S_20140303.rar to give a try later

After searching so much for alternative firmware,I am starting to believe that my F5s clone is just a rebranded F5 and that could be the reason the clone sites firmware
are not giving the same features as genuine F5s firmware,but I hope I'm wrong about this.

I'm sorry to tell you this but I was recently repairing some F5S boxes for a satellite firm and several of their clone F5S boxes contained F5 main-boards so it's very possible.

How can I tell if it has F5 board,would anyone have pics to compare or is there some other way of telling the difference.

just wanted to say I was given a F5S to fix and after getting the hardware mismatch error message I read this thread and its actually a F5 badged as a F5S - flashed F5 firmware and all working
