Someone told me this but I couldn't get it to work. Theres a hidden menu to add digits to your phone prefix for hotels etc where you need to dial 9 to ring out. If you add any 3 digit prefix your box will ring out but sky won't know its you. I've been told it works on old boxes only. Mines 3 years old and it doesn't work so I think its bullshit.

Heres details

METHOD 1: Unlocking Sky Box Office >This really is a simple trick. >It is based on the fact that all the Digibox needs to activate a movie >or >event of your choice is a phone line which it will use to send details >of >the films/ events you have watched to Sky so they can bill you later. >The 'magic' boxes being sold are just a 9v battery connected to a >phone >socket to fool the box into thinking that a phone line is present, the >idea >being that your box can never 'phone sky and so you will never have to >pay. >My solution is far simpler. >There is a 'secret' installers menu which allows you to add a prefix to >the >Sky phone number ( '9' for an outside line in a hotel for example). >All you need to do is add a false prefix and the box can never 'phone >Sky! >It is that easy. >Here's how to do it: >Press 'Services' >Press '4' (system setup) >Press '0' then '1' then 'select' (to activate 'secret' menu) >Press '3' (telephone settings) >Scroll to 'Dialling prefix' >Enter a prefix of your choice (NOT 999 or 112, you don't want the fire >brigade round your house at 2am!) >Scroll to 'Save New Settings' >Done! >Now the box will just get an error message when attempting to send Sky >your >viewing information. >METHOD 2: Unlocking Sky Box Office >FREE SKY BOX OFFICE >here he is what you do >(1) go to a box office channel >(2) press select >(3) it will now ask you for your pin number do not put this in yet >(4) unplug your digital box from the telephone line >(5) now enter your pin number _ _ _ _ this is the last four digits on your >sky card >(6) your picture will now come on >(7) when you have watched you movie or sport event >(8) switch off your sky digital box from the mains for 5 mins >(9) switch your box back on then plung your telephone back in this methord >will reset your digital box so sky will not know you have watched >anythinghappy viewing >PLEASE NOTE >This method will give an error message anyway, so if it doesn¿t seem to be >working - take a look at your bill at the end of the month!

nope, its all lies lol

the billing info is stored on your card straight away, if you order a box office movie and only watch 1 second of it you are charged, once the card has stored a number of films that youve watched it wont let you view any more untill the info has been downloaded to sky

Ok thanks thought as much. By the way I clicked on your link 100-7000 free satellite tv channels it just takes you back to the forums page.

i know m8 lol, it links to the sat section to get people here from the other parts of the forum, its not just cable TV thats free

i tryed the 9volt into a phone socket into sky got up to 30quid worth she pluged it back into the main line latter that night got the bill so dont plug it back into the main phone socket lol

can you not clone a card use it for free films and then erase and start again? or bin the card afterwards and plug in the original card with no ordered fims on.

May be a silly question i know nothing about sky but just seemed to make sense.

hi jim if you could clone a card m8 then you would have a sky hack ;)

its not possible (well at least not public) to hack a SKY CARD or BOX

its always fun trying thoughs o dont give up guys who knows whats around the cornor ;)

the way the card works is , you are given a set amount to spend on a viewing card depending on what credit limt they give u , so u can book ie up to 50 quid of films on the card , it only does a call back to sky once per month , on the same calender day , so what u can do is book ur movies on the card without the phone line plugged in , then when it says ur card is full , plug it in and phone up sky , take ur card out and say the card is knacked , they send u new one and chuck the old card, loose viewing for a couple of days but ha ho , if u want the box officebad it does work

they also charge you for the new card if you cant send in a replacement one now though as they know poeple are doing this, the last time i had to order a card for someone it was £22

surely if you keep doing it they will soon know what you are up to!

didnt know they did that , 22 notes is a bit steep

still £22 is better than £30+ for the movies and then you have another £30+ to play with so not bad value though i dont imagen you would get away with it many times

the ppv credit on your replacement card will be less, and mostly replacement cards have ZERO credit limit, meaning you will never be able to order ppv without clearing the purchase with sky first.
They arent stupid, so you may get a few free films but its yourself your shooting in the foot.....
