Getting sky installed this week...

however i have a sky dish already. We do have a box connected to this when we had sky about 5 years ago, we just use it for free channels (few asian ones)

now my dad wants to keep the dish so we can move this box in another room and have sky HD in our main room... he wants 2 dishes but i know they wont do that

Will the sky engineer make us only have 1 connection ? or what do i say to him...

to be honest i have no idea what to do without paying multiroom for 2 boxes...

Any sky engineers on here ?

ok just seen a quad LNB on ebay... would this solve my problem ?

Shed loads plus if u hook up a linux box the possiblities are endless

click on the sat tab at top of page to see the full channel list

this wont work with a sky dish due to its size

the engineer will fit a quad lnb (4 outputs from same dish) 2 of these will feed the skyHD box, you can then run another cable from the dish to your existing receiver in another room and still receive the free channels that you do now without needing any multiroom setup

Im in a similar position but now have 2 dishes, One doing nout and the other for my Sly. Would the spare dish be suffice for me to get weekend football etc?

At a push you can point the spare dish at Astra 1 @ 19.2 east. This should allow you to pick up Sky Germany and watch the footie on Sky Sports 1 if you can get a share. Just keep your fingers crossed and hope it doesn't rain.
