hi guys i am looking to upgrade to a Technomate TM 5402 HD Super Plus USB PVR LAN Satellite, firstly has anyone got any opinions on the box, i am running a tm super 500 i just need to ask a few questions on the tm 5402 hd,
do i add Bouquets the same way has the tm super by using dreamboxedit.
i have got hold of the patch and the addons is that all i need to do to make the box run with my cline.
now adding my cline to the tm super is easy but the way it looks on this box i dont understand asking about the following i have found out from another site,
To work what your details are from a C line see below: -

C: exampl.dyndns.biz exampl password 10500

Address = exampl.dyndns.biz
ID = exampl
Password = password
Port = 10500

i suspose if i ask my server they would break my cline info down to fit the above i would image and if anyone can help me regarding things i need to do that would be great

cheers guys if it wasnt for this site i would have never moved into the satelite scene.

thanks

Make sure you select the protocol either cccam or newcamd, use the line without the C: that part not needed, the rest you have is correct. Everything is case sensitive.

Personally I would just blind scan the sat and sort the channels for you're own preference as most people live in different areas and have there own channel lists. But thats up to you. Then just save the channel list to usb.

thanks popssad, i have got my head around adding the cline and the patch and add ons they are all on my usb pen just ready to install but my question about adding Bouquets can i still add them by using dreambox edit or do i have to add they another way i want to add Rats HD bouquest. also i am seeing alot of tm softcams, can someone explain what they are please, i havent got my box yet so i learning before i do

cheers guys

the softcams are keyfiles for the latest providers that are hacked that will open with a patch these keys change every so many days so always use the latest softcam

you wont be able to use rats list on a 5402, its a completley different type of receiver, youll need to create your own favourites folders from a channel scan, or download a ready made one (theyre very few and far between though)

thanks thijss26 so after so many days i have to load the latest tm softcams, is this a continuous thing then with the tm 5402 hd box then,
sorry for sounding thick but this is all new to me,

cheers guys

as long as the providers keys are known it will continue and if patches put's the emu's on recievers , something like a key reader for all the providers that are open there is a few missing on the tm 5402 but a good few open too and there is other way's of opening them like the v-plugserver
but i won't overload you with info now wait untill you get your tm and it will all get clear then.

thanks digidude that helps alot, i now can remember i read that as soon has the favs list is done is to copy it to the usb for save keeping, also regarding the tm softcams what would happen if i didnt up date them , sorry i am still learning, should have stopped with the tm 500 super

cheers guys for you help

cheers thijss26 thanks for the info , have got alot to learn about, have you got a tm 5402 hd box and if so are they a good box to have

cheers thijss26

I've got this receiver just over a month ago. I thoroughly recommend it. Bought it for £145. Both Softcam and Cardsharing work perfectly on that receiver. I use mainly Bulsatcom and it's working perfectly. It also supports 3D.

Had previously a Spiderbox 9000 HD although it died. The 3D felt like a gimmick on the spiderbox 9000 HD. The TM 5402 HD is much simpler to use. You can even save motorized settings. The signal strength is also a lot more powerful compared to the previous Spiderbox 9000 HD that I had. It's surprisingly very slim too.
It's also full 1080P HD. Although there currently aren't any 1080P HD channels, all of them are 1080i only at the moment.

Pretty impressive actually and I wished I bought that receiver in the first place instead of the Spiderbox that I only had for less than 2 years and it died. But knowing from previous experience, with my very old Technomate 1000-D receiver. I know Technomate is a very reliable satellite brand.

The only thing you need to do once you get the TM 5402 is install the Cardsharing patch, this is pretty simple. Once that's done your set! It will work with no issues. I am using cardsharing with that receiver. Have 2 C-lines added from my CS provider and it works with no problems at all.:Biggrin2:

I don't have the 5402 myself i have the 7100+6902 HD ,all non linux HD are pretty much the same to setup with the same "add on" and the same menu's,pretty stable boxes if you have all the setup right and load the patches right, there is a lot of threads about the 5402 on this forum already and how to set it up and a few problems people had so have a look at them too,overall good boxes for cs the support from the Phanth0m isn't great at times they suply the 3th party patches .

hi guys i am glad i have brought the box just waiting for the box to be deliver. si the way i have got it in my mine on loading the patch and add on is and i am sorry if i am going over this again from another post is

the following install the pahntom patch first the the addon patch, now what tm softcam would i need to install this is what i am really not sure about even after thijss26 explain it to me, could someone point me in the right direction of it please, also i have found a skyukchannel list for 28.2e which i will be installing.

just wish the box got deliver today so i can get stuck into it.

I also have the 5402 & very happy with it...it is not 100% perfect but nothing is perfect anyway.
I use it with the softcam keys, if only I knew how using the cs bits, you make it sound so easy; I tried but failed, nevermind I can be without this extra feature. I know what people say about THE other receiver, especially one !!!... but this 5402 has been my 3rd technomate, after having others made before that (past 17 years in "sat world") , I wouldnt change anymore.

Okay, it's very simple. I did it in a day without consultation on any forum.

It's actually the Phantom patch. Here's the link from where I read on how to patch CS into the TM 5402 HD box just over a month ago. I didn't actually download from that forum site cos it required forum registration. I only used the instructions to help me with the installation of the patch.

I downloaded the patch elsewhere from another site where I didn't have to register on a forum just to get the link of it. You only need to google it and you'll find it.
The instructions are layed out with pictures. I found the guide pretty easy and straight forward.
Network settings need to be set to default for it to connect. You don't need to set static ip for the receiver as 192.168.02 will be permanent ip name on the receiver anyway and won't conflict with any of the other computers incase you setted static ip on the other PCs, however, they need to be set with a different static ip from the default 192.168.02 otherwise you won't be able to connect. 192.168.02 is a default PC IP address, if the satellite receiver has that too then there will be conflict and you may not be able to connect. For the conflict to not happen, you'll have to set 192.168.03, 192.168.04, etc for the other computers then the receiver won't conflict and will connect with no problem.

Make sure the CCcam works when you input it, don't try and test with those free CS servers cos otherwise you won't be sure if it works as they're generally unreliable. I had card sharing with my previous SB 9000 HD box and when it broke down. I simply transfers the CCcam details from that box to the new TM 5402.

Although it did take me around 7 hours to install all the channels though. I didn't install the channel list via an add on patch. I installed them all manually via satellite scanning. If you want to install a channel specifically without having to scan through. Do a PID search and just add in the frequency of that particular channel that you need. For example ESPN HD and only add frequency to the PID search of ESPN HD so that only that channel enters and not a bunch of other useless ones that you do not need.:Biggrin2: But once I got to grips with it. It was very simple. I am sure if I had set a new box from scratch next time it would take me only an hour or less for it.

@peter.green14: All the Sky UK channels are located in Astra 2D 28.2 Degree East. Don't worry, you don't need to really download an addon patch. Just scan through Astra 2D and all the SKY UK channels will be added. Astra 2D has only SKY UK channels. I catch with 100% signal all of them where I live in London. If you have a 90 cm solid dish, that's enough.

But as you may probably be aware, all of the channels work perfectly with no problem using CCcam.:licka:

I also use Bulsatcom softcam for the TM 5402 as well, which is on Hellas Sat 39 East. Since I don't catch Bulsatcom with my CS Provider.

patches and add on's can be found here Technomate software online and latest patches are in Download center
make sure you load patches the adviced way latest patch 115 is a bit unstable for most people so maybe look for patch 114 in the first link the adviced way of loading patches
1)back up channel list
2)factory reset
3)load latest original technomate firmware(found on technomate.uk downloadsection or Download centerin originals section)
4)factory reset
5)load latest patch (after this load latest addon but if you did this before it will still be there)
6)factory reset
7)put back channellist and rescan all channels in use(after this you could put on latest softcams)
if you don't follow this you might get stuck with bugs/problems
I have very little problems after following this procedure
