Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

Great news I have always loved Technomate receivers but kept away because I have a linux pc running CCcam with " friends" on it and always needed a receiver with CCcam.

If it is stable then might be bye bye Ipbox9000 and Octagon 918 and hello Technomate.

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

ive been testing TM cccam patches for about 8 months, and the stability issues is what has stopped it being released

this has been worth waiting for, believe me

this makes connecting to CCcam servers as simple as it could possibly get ;)

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

HI Didgidude.
I have connected my TM6900HDsuper to my Netgear DG834GT router. The ethernet cable has been tested with a Laptop and an IP address was allocated. NO IP address was allocated to my TM. Nothing happened when an IP address was put in manually. The router is not recognising the TM.
I do subscribe to sky and am using the router they sent me. I don't know whether this is relevlant. But Iam fast running out of ideas. Can you please help

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

here are the files

they work different to the normal patches, you now have an actual patch specific for your model, plus an 'addon' or update thats for all models, patch first, then add the addon via the usb menu

THIS INFORMATION IS NOT TO BE COPIED TO ANY OTHER FORUM WITHOUT GIVING REFERENCE TO DIGIDUDE

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

Hi everybody, this is my first post here: first of all, I registered because it seems a very interesting board compared to many others.
So, I'm a very happy owner of TM6900 Super, and this morning we had a very great news!!! I just uploaded patch, then addon. My DGN2000 router recognized the box (I inserted IP manually, not DHCP), I can ping it without any problem, but I absolutely don't connect to a known running server......
Are all parameters case-sensitive? What about timeout? I have a lower-case string as login, not IP address..... is it a problem for 6900?
Any suggestion is really appreciated. Thank you.

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

ill write a full how to on this either tonight or tomorrow, but you just enter the server address and your login details and youre away ;)

i also use with a sky router m8, ensure DHCP is ticked in the technomate box, then turn the power off and back on

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

If server details are the only parameters needed..... well, I really don't understand. My server is running (checked using diablo cam), I inserted all data in the first server in the 8281 list (the upper one), when I press RED button to connect.... nothing happens, and I always see DISCONNECTED in Status field. As I said the box is perfectly connected to my network (I see it in Device attached to my router including its IP and MAC Address).
Just a question: I have a character string as server Address, is it OK or an IP address is absolutely needed in 6900? If this is the case.... well, it would not be a simple solution for me..... Thank you.

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

Same here, all loaded but won't connect. Tried with server name and then ip address, setting filters, nothing. I'll wait for the idiots guide.

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

Just checked my settings again and noticed I got the wrong server details. Corrected and it's now working on cccam. Ding dong.

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

Nothing here. Fatbasket how you entered server details? I have all low-case strings (perfectly working in diablo cam), what about timeout and filters? Timeout is 3 seconds by default, and Filter is on AUTO. Did you modify these fields?

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

Fatbasket I forgot: did you enter servername or its IP address? I have just servername, not its IP......

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

Hi, been playing about for while now. I entered the server as a lower case name xxxxx.xxx.org, Timeout is at 3sec, FilterMode AUTO. I have found that after all the server edit details are entered and saved it connected OK but then rebooted the receiver, connected to 8281 and all cleared after about 15/20 secs.

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

Checked all and checked again but nothing. Did you use the first (upper) server in the list? What about server name (the first field)? I believe that server name is just a nickname and doesn't affect connection data but I'm not sure..... I have xxxxxx.com as server address..... really don't understand.

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

I'm using first server in the list, just gave it any name. Try your server as an ip address and check you have the correct user id, password and port.

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

the top line, connection, can be anything, this is for you to know whats what

as long as the address is as you have been given by the server, your username, password and port number as well, enter the details, and exit. save when prompted, it normally wont connect first time, so press exit a few times, then press 8281 again, press the red button and you should now connect

after about 15 seconds your picture should clear

all other details i left the same as they were

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

It really is great to have CCam but there appear to be issues with EPG not working, freezing in CAS menu and inability to start live recording.

Re: 6800/6900 cccam patch out today

Finally I made ping of my server, got its IP address, replaced xxxxx.com with IP..... YES!!!!! It connected immediately! Continue not understanding: all server data are correct (no problem work in my diablo cam), but it seems that 6900 don't like login string and wants its IP address...... But now it works.
It seems very very fast! Less than 2 seconds for channel change between two different satellite and different scrambling system, very good!
Tried SSSP, too: it works (didn't work correctly using previous patch.....). So, a very big step ahead!
I didn't try recording because I'm not interesting in it now.
