the 6900 has been upgraded again, now its the 6900 super +

not too sure what the exact specs are compared to the 6900 super just yet

but expect some spam email for a 'darkmen special offer' of the old (but still excellent, maybe grab a bargain) of the older model to make way for the new one

you saw it here first peeps

I bought the 6900 just before the super came out lol

It'll be interesting to see what extras the "plus" has.

Hi Guys, just looked on the box and mine is the Super+, aint set it up yet, done my back in yesterday so taking it easy for the mo.I will get the Manual out of the box and have a read.

At the moment I'm using a Strong 4375 receiver with Diablo 2.3 cam this is hooked up to 90cm Precision polar mount dish with a 36 volt jack.
The Precision dish has part of its feed missing (the lightbulb) so its not working to its best performance.I have a 1mtr offset dish and disque motor ready to replace the Precision, done my back in yesterday so unable to change the dish yet, might just loop in the TM Super+ to see how it performs for the time being.

they just upgraded the lnb saftey tuner to be stronger although that what they told me ( technomate )

Hi all, back and cold symptoms subsiding, yesterday I looped in to my setup my new TM 6900 super+, my back is not yet strong enough to replace the dish end but at least I can try out the TM.

First impressions, was not exactly bowled over by the SD picture performance, my Strong 4375 connected by RGB scart gave better results on my Panny 1080p Plasma, this surprised me as the new TM is connected by HDMI lead and is supposed to be upscaled to a high standard, the TM video setting was left as is at 1080i. The channel list frequencies for the HD channels on Canal Digital were incorrect giving me the "no or bad signal message", a fresh download of the correct frequencies for the HD channels brought them back on line.HD picture quality was superb.
I then connected by USB a Western Digital 1T extrernal hardrive (Mybook) to the TM, the hard drive was already formated to fat32 so I just had to use my laptop to make it active as per Technomates instructions, I rebooted the TM and it seen the drive I then asked it to format the drive, it done it in about a minute, all ok.I then recorded 5 mins of the Middlesborough v Wigan match on Canal Digital in HD, no problem played it back perfectly.
No problem at all with my Diablo 2.2 updated to 2.3.
As soon as my back is better I will sort out the dish end proper and make it a proper motorised receiver.I'm well pleased with the receiver especially now I have a PVR as well, shame the SD performance is not a little better,I suppose I could try RGB scart to watch SD instead of HDMI or even the component connections.
Anybody else tried this new Super+ yet ?, waiting for the new patches now!

Regards Finearrow

From the Technomate web site (news page)

TM-5000 Super + Series and TM-6000 Super +Series

28th April 2009

Tm-5000 Series super + and TM-6000 Series Super +
There has been few hardware improvement internally to enhance the performance which has not increased any functions also using same software as Super series
