Phoenix Card Reader Guide (card reader via serial)

that means you need a CAS interface, connected to your PC the whole time its connected to the receiver as well

does this mean the code is written back into the images to support the RS232 with readers like the purple pheonix reader?

ill try it anyway :)

an additional card reader, as well as being able to read gamma cards

is it true that the card readers on technomates run at 5v which would burn out a sky card giving reason to attach a smargo to the stb?

theres no proof, on any forum, anywhere, that sky cards get burnt out in internal readers, unless you seriously alter config files to purposly overclock the cards

i have run one in a pre production TM receiver since last summer, and its still not burst into flames

Thanks UR_TEAM for the manual, I took a closer look to it and saw what I had to change.

I was using in my cccam.cfg this:

SERIAL READER : /dev/tts/0

Changed it to this:

SERIAL READER : /dev/tts/1

My TM600 is now reading 2 cards, 1 in the internal reader, and other in the rs232 phoenix.

I'm using last DSTeam image btw, now I'm just waiting for smargo support by usb.

Thanks.
