It was my photo-printer hitting the sides of the skip on re-entry!

I can conclude:

1 - Having had every well-known brand, I choose badly
2 - I'm crap at printing photos

So, I shall evaluate the online options like foto.com, Tesco etc.

Then, just maybe, I won't waste a whole morning, spend £50 at Argos and I might, instead, take the dogs for a walk or chase Mrs M round the living room with a naughty glint in my eye.

That is all ;)

there are lots for deals about for photo printing and always works out just as cheap
ink jets are crap IMHO as is not used a lot can dry out and clog up
had my colour lazer for 8 years and bought 2 sets of ink but only down side is try get glossy paper for a lazer

I think the normal stuff usually transfers most of the toner to the drum. Someone at work tried it and messed the copier up.

ye never use glossy ink jet paper in them

Yep, I found out the hard way too lol! But I was lucky, no harm done :)

I was also lucky a good few years back-2003 I think it was- I got one of those tiny photo printers (HP) that can print up to about 4" X 6". OK I didn't use it a lot, but the ink cart only needed replacing this year! HP obviously hadn't thought about time-bombing their ink cart's yet back then!
