OK last weekend my wife went shopping and when she got to the till to pay there was a card rejection ???

She called me and asked if i'd been buying things of the net NO I said ....... so tail between her legs she returned home not very happy and checked the bank.............

Only to find that some dirty ****in twat had raided our account to the tune of £5k :(

She obviously phoned the bank and they were very hel pfull and stopped her card (not that there was any money left on it anyway) and said not to worry as they can tell it's all fraudulent payments and we would be receiving our funds back in the bank within 48 hours but after 5 days and 8 charges later still no funds

FUKIN NATWEST

18 years of banking and we get treated like this.

Screw your NATWEST

worst bank ever.

don't use or bank with them they are pure shite!!!

Sorry to hear that, hope it gets sorted pronto. Lloyds are no better, been banking with them for 35 years, wages paid in to them for over 30 years and my work tells me my wages were going to be paid a week late one month so I asked for an extension to my overdraft for a week and they turned me down. Bar stewards..........

Unfortunately this happens all to often these days :(

Im sure it will get sorted mate but can understand your frustration as that's a lot of money

Hope it gets sorted quickly

Sorry to hear this mate hope it all gets sorted i know how i felt when £30 went from account for no reason but 5k i think i would go into melt down lol

Thats the reason I never keep more than £1500 in my current account!!

This is yet another situation where the bank needs reminding whose money it actually is. In this case it's yours. And the bank gave it away to a thief. They've already admitted it was clearly fraudulent activity that led to the funds going missing, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to start leaning on them a bit more heavily. It is, after all their responsibility to keep it safe.
There are the official routes like the Banking Ombudsman, OFT (or whatever they call themselves now) and FSA. Then of course there are the more modern routes- social media seem to be particularly effective at 'spreading the word' if the bank doesn't hear your lone voice.

that sucks.

hopefully natwest get there asses in gear and refund you pronto.

I would try and find out from natwest how they believe the fraud occurred aswell.

I don't and won't do internet banking ever. After seeing the film THE NET which is very true to what could happen in reality.
