do we really need more clamps ??

Nipple clamps yes, cock retraints no!

I can't say that I know much about this but...

...why should bikes and scooters be exempt from parking fees? Why would you regard it as a right to park for free?

mate it would be a better idea if you kept all your motorcycle posts in 1 thread :)

NO WAY !!!! how dare they clamp a Vespa :Yikes:

They'll be clamping prams next.

I thought councils were no longer allowed to clamp vehicles.
However, the DVLA do clamp non taxed vehicles.
Incidently, private clamping should be outlawed

why should motor cyclists and motor bikes be exempt from the law?

I own a bike and a car and don't see no reason as to why motorcyclists shouldn't have to pay for parking, just like disabled people with their blue badges, they're still taking up a parking space.

Think of all the extra money the council will be getting to improve the local roadways and things!

the council dont make a bean in fact it has cost them £431.000 to introduce this scheme ..... private company's french & Canadian owned have made the profit ... currently running at £3 million just for the bikes alone much much more for cars so thats good for the country's deficit isnt it !

and by the way cars pay for parking because they congest built up areas ... it is to dissuade them .... when was the last time you saw a scooter cause major traffic congestion

if you drive on the road, park in car parks, expect to deal with the consequences. who cares if bilers dont make traffic, you are still using a whole cars car park space for one motor cycle!!

i ride and if i have to pay then i have to pay. but bikes generally dont use a whole space up. it would be interesting if they did though. a whole road with 10 bikes taking 10 whole spaces would be crazy

ive actually seen it mate and there are some dumb coonts out there and dont really think of others.

I am happy to pay for parking...but not in a bike space!, if I am paying i am having a full car space and dumping in slapdash in the middle of it.

typical, instead of moving over to allow a few more bikes in that same space, you take one car space each. the problem isnt us, its the council so be considerate and let other bikes in the huge "car" park space.

Why should he, if you have to pay the same has a car and you get 5 bikes in that spot all paying the same, its a rip off.
if im paying the same has some huge 4x4 to park then i'd take the whole bay, feck em bikes have to search for parking spots aswell.
