Placing Traffic Lights so close

Heres what gets on my nerves soooo much

when you stop at traffic lights and you see another set of traffic lights in front of you about 50 yards or so and they are green when your sitting at the red lights, then they turn red when the traffic lights i was just sitting at turn bloody green..its get so frustrating,i can see why people jump lights,where is the sense in that???

think ther only put on this earth to annoy the total S**T out of us I say lets jump the lot of them and see what happens LOL

Am I right in thinking that in Germany if you keep to the speed limit when the lights are green you get to the next set and they are green too? It was a long time ago I was in Germany so it is probably just a story I was told at the time to keep me quiet!!

Nice idea though.

the A470 leading into cardiff is like that, if the 1st lights get you then for the next 2 miles they all will, but.........

if you can hit one green one at 45 mph (the limits 40) and keep going at 45 youll get through them all lol

Yeh we'v got a set round here like that - There fucking idotic desgin

But what can you do the goverment take our money and waste it on arsehole plans

I lived in Germany for 8 years and don't recall being fortunate enough to get through traffic lights in that way. I think it's more down to sensible road design, drivers who'll drive quickly but safely and also a better infrastructure. I much preferred driving in Germany than in UK. Driving in this country gets more like a Formula 1 race every day

These type of lights annyoed me like mad yesterday. I was coming back from Oxford Street on the Bus and it got caught at every set of traffic lights because they are all timed to go red within a few seconds of the set you've just gone through going on green.
