I#ve taken delivery of a Minimus AVR USB 32K and whatever I flash it with I can't get it to work.

My key appeasrs as ATMEGA32U2 and not as AT90USB.

All of the Hex's I load have the same issue. No "Back Up Manager" appears and I get the error code "80028F14" when I try select teh "apps....PS3_GAME" folder.

AM I using the wrong Hex's???

TIA

Look here mate https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?threads/247451/ , also you need backup manager on the USB Drive, have you Powered the PS3 off completely before putting it in ? And your on f/w 3.41 yeah ?

As for the Hex you need to program it with Minimus_16Mhz.hex, all the info is here mate.

Mine still not turned up, but im sure i right in what im saying, if not please correct me.

Use the AVRKEY hex file out of the PSGroove V3 Hermes+Waninkoko+Mathieulh (FIX) pack , as its for the ATMEGA32U2

I think the minimus 1 is for the AT90USB162 and the AVR 1 is for the ATmega32U2

Mmmmmm confused.com, here's what the seller said in the description mate,

Note: The Minimus 32 AVR USB uses a larger Atmel 32k controller than the Minimus AVR USB so you will need to run at least Atmel Flip v3.4.2 and all codes must be compiled as ATMEGA32U2

Thanks.

Use the AVR hex file then m8.

•If you have x64 driver problems use these - http://www.minimususb.com/minimus_x64_drivers.rar

The only difference i can see is the increase in memory on the 32 chip, but the hex's must have to be compiled differently.

I have been able to flash an avr usb key hex to my minimus at90usb162, and i can flash the 16mhz minimus hex's so they both work on mine but only the minimus hex makes the led's work correctly.
