I have made a flyer that i want to print off. it is on A4 on microsoft word but i want to resize it to A5. i also want to print 2 of these on a single piece of A4. any help much appreciated! :)

yes m8, already tried that but then when you go to print preview it spreads the document onto 2 pieces. i need to shrink a4 document to A5 then possibly print 2 of these A5 sheets on one sheet of A4. Any suggestions ???

Can't understand that coz when you resize the page and the layout is set how you want it, it should show up in print preview exactly how you see it in page layout. You will have to shrink down your layout to fit the page. If it still spreads over 2 pages then you could try adjusting your print properties by changing them to print on A5 paper and then do a print preview.

why do all that when my way works?

if you started on A4, carry on on A4 and then use my method when printing.

No hassle atall.

A wakeup says, goto
  • Print
  • on the print menu pop up at the bottom is a sction called zoom
  • set this to print 2 pages per sheet, that will shrink it and put 2 pages on one a4 page.

Hi Carlos,
If you still don't know how to do it then try this, in word make 2 A4 pages of the same flyer, then file>print in zoom section 'pages per sheet' select '2 pages' and click on print then you will have 2 A5 pages on A4. If you did what wakeupcall suggested then you will have one A5 flyer and the other half would be blank.
Hope this helps

Finally!!!! lol, here is the answer you need in word 2010 - (if doc has headers / footers) click enter at the end of the page (so they are reproduced) CTRL+A on the original page, CTRL+V on next page. You should now have 2 identical pages. File > Print. Under settings - Print all pages - leave Pages blank - Print One Sided - leave Collated - Print Orientation A4 - Normal Margins - Click 2 Pages Per Sheet, next click again, and at the bottom Scale to Paper Size, choose A4, Click print and you should have the results you're looking for.

Cheers IANB, was funny, One of the nurses at work needed it done and couldn't find the answer anywhere! This was the last board I tried, so after figuring, thought I'd better post for those in the future, didn't think it would be such a pain }:)

90% of printer driver will do it automatically. I just design in A4 and then tell my printer to print 2 per page and it shrinks it down to A5. If i design 2 pages on A4 and I tell it to shrink it down to A5 it will automatically print the second page on the reverse, so I end up with a double sided A5.

Plus my printer is an antique HP Laserjet 4300 which came out in 2002. :)
